It’s been one year since devastating floods swept through Western North Carolina, East Tennessee, and Southwest Virginia during Hurricane Helene. Families and communities are still working hard to rebuild, and this concert is about standing alongside them.

I’m Stephen Seifert, a lifelong musician and teacher best known for my work with the mountain dulcimer. For decades, I’ve shared music across the U.S. and abroad, but on the evening of Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 7:00 P.M. I’ll be performing solo in the beautiful Old Creekside Barn in Trade, Tennessee—between Mountain City and Boone, NC, one of the areas hit especially hard by the floods.

While a few folks will be present at the barn, the real audience is online via Zoom, and the concert is completely free to attend. All I ask is that you register in advance (ticket set at $0) so I’ll know how many are coming. Once registered, you’ll eventually receive the link to join via email.

Funds raised will go to State Line Resource Station, a grassroots volunteer-run nonprofit serving Western NC, East TN, and Southwest VA. They’ve worked tirelessly over the past year—first providing urgent relief like food, water, and clothing, and now leading long-term recovery: repairing homes, supporting small businesses, and offering recovery grants through Brittany’s Fund.

I’ll play for about an hour—music to remember, to restore, and to remind us that community and generosity matter most. Please join me and help lift up our neighbors who are still on the path to recovery.
