On Monday, May 18, 2009, at 8PM CENTRAL / 9PM EASTERN, I interviewed and played the music of one of my favorite dulcimer players, Hollis Landrum.

"Hollis currently lives in Newnan, GA., and is a nationally recognized teacher and performer on the Appalachian mountain dulcimer. He won the National Mountain Dulcimer Championship in Winfield, KS, in 1997. His Swing Dulcimer CD is listed as an Editor's Choice in the Music Hound Essential Folk Album Guide. Dulcimer Player's News describes the CD as "astounding playing and arranging." He is also one of the featured performers on three compilations of dulcimer music: Great Players of the Mountain Dulcimer, Masters of the Mountain Dulcimer Vol. 2, and Mountain Dulcimer National Champions.  Mr. Landrum plays a number of instruments besides mountain dulcimer, including hammer dulcimer, Celtic harp, guitar, and bass. He currently plays in the Atlanta area with Caledonia Swing and Celtic Ties."
