Mississippi Sawyer from 1916

I came across this old recording of "Mississippi Sawyer." I suspect this guy's playing this a lot faster than he normally did. While I'm not sure, I don't hear much swing. I wonder if he was more of a classical player.  Some argue this never gets the credit for being the first "Country" recording. Maybe it's because he wasn't a country player? He does play with a lot of variation which makes me think he spent at least some solid time around Old-Time players. Maybe this guy did a little bit of everything. What do you think?

Since Mr. Richardson plays it a little different every time, I had to be a bit creative to come up with a one-page version. Since we all play our own versions of this, I though it might be helpful to share this with you. If you just get one idea you can apply to your own version, I think it's worth your time.
