The Lagniappe Dulcimer Society invites you to their "Swinging in the Swamp" 9th Annual Lagniappe Dulcimer Fête March 11-14, 2010, at the Community Center/West Baton Rouge Museum, 749 North Jefferson Avenue, Port Allen, Louisiana.
This is a seriously fun event. The meals include poboys, catfish, and jambalaya. The jams include the infamous Wright family from Kennard, TX. I'll be teaching Bluegrassy Flatpicking Capo 4, Chord-Melody Style, Traditional Noter Style, Waltzes, and Rounds. Since I'm not flying out until the 15th, I've got about 12 extra hours to have some fun. Let me know if you have any ideas.
If you're attending this event, be the 5th person to email me the answer to the following question and you get a free 30-minute private lesson during the Fête. Visit http://everythingdulcimer.com and look in the Dulcimer Players News archives. Find Volume 12, Number 01, Winter, 1986. A dulcimer club from Lancaster County, PA is profiled.
